Pros
- Booker’s never misses. Big flavor, big punch.
- I like the Beam profile because it's distinctive, and I think this is a good example of that profile, but I'm not sure I'll pay more than about $80 for Booker's in future.
- I’m not a knob creek fan, but I enjoyed the bookers I recently got so I feel like a little book is worth trying
- Booker’s brought high-proof whiskey in from the cold just a few years before.
- I'm in the Orlando area and Booker's is available in most ABC stores currently for around $110 and my local Costco for $95.
Cons
- My tastes have changed enough that I probably won't ever buy another bottle, even though it used to be a favorite. It's that peanut note. Occasionally there's a batch that leans way more towards caramel than peanut -- but I'm not going t...
- First day was pretty lacking, wasn’t disappointed but wasn’t impressed. Just revisited after a bit over a month and it really opened up. I don’t think the bookers profile is for me generally, but it’s a solid bottle.

- Once again, Chuck Cowdery was not impressed: “I've had the Distiller's Masterpiece and, you know what, it tastes like Booker's flavored with a little port. There, think of all the money I just saved you,”
- Regular bookers is pretty mid and some are worse.

My tastes have changed enough that I probably won't ever buy another bottle, even though it used to be a favorite. It's that peanut note. Occasionally there's a batch that leans way more towards caramel than peanut -- but I'm not going to take my chances anymore without sampling it ahead of time.

Booker’s is a brand that has been an up and down experience for me. It was the first “special” bottle of whiskey that I bought for myself, and my positive experience with that first one (Teresa’s batch) led me to chase others, which have been hit or miss. All in all, I do enjoy the Booker’s profile, it’s just that the elevated prices that came with the bourbon boom (sometimes as high as $150 where I’m at) eclipsed the quality of the juice for me.
