Pros
- In the EU, look at Bonfus, Tipik, Liteway, etc. All of them make great shelters.
- I’d say that you should be able to go below 1000g with, e.g., Bonfus, Atom packs, or Durston.
- If you’re based in Europe you might want to look at alternatives like Bonfus. Excellent quality and “locally” produced
- Bonfus tents and backpacks both look very appealing but are noticeably more expensive.
- I'm in the same situation wanting to try their packs, but decided to order a Bonfus in the meantime since it has a shorter lead time.
Cons
- the shoulder straps were comfortable for the whole trip, and the waist belt was far more supportive than the hip belt on my bonfus framus.
- I haven’t used a Bonfus pack, but I did try one of their other products. Unfortunately, it failed on my first outing and the quality wasn’t great.
- I can still return it but ship times on other backpacks that I find interesting are too long (Bonfus, Atompacks, Liteway).
- For European options, you could look at Hyberg, Liteway and Bonfus, all very similar designs
- Honestly I wanted to check on those backpacks live since I live 1 hour away from them and they acted like the most self entitled and small minded average Italian and so I just ordered from Atelier Longue Distance. Backpacks are nothing e...

Honestly I wanted to check on those backpacks live since I live 1 hour away from them and they acted like the most self entitled and small minded average Italian and so I just ordered from Atelier Longue Distance. Backpacks are nothing extraordinary, but the thing for me was that such a terrible communication and customer service + return policy don't deserve my money.
I'm in the same situation wanting to try their packs, but decided to order a Bonfus in the meantime since it has a shorter lead time.
