Spent two weeks in Bonaire last March and genuniely didn't see a single college student the entire time. It's a divers island at heart so the vibe skews older and more outdoorsy. Incredibly affordable compared to most caribbean destinations too, grocery stores, local restuarants, nothing feels tourist taxed.
