Pros

  • bomb rush as goty makes a lot of sense, it really nailed that style and flow.
  • As a big JSR fan, Bomb Rush gave me everything that I was looking for in a spiritual successor. The music was incredible, all of the levels flowed really well (except for Pyramid Island), the characters and their designs fit right into t...
  • I loved this game, but I never saw much point in replaying after I was done with the story.
  • The game goes from being a really cool art piece with great visuals and music to having one of the most fun movement mechanics in any game I’ve ever played.
  • This game is awesome. I'm glad they delayed it many times to polish it.

Cons

  • ultimately abandoned the game pretty early because of the boring gameplay and couldn’t understand why it was rated so highly
  • I had a lot of fun with it, but could beat it in an evening. I was really into Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games growing up and that certainly made the game easier. I was happy with the game, however I couldn't help but feel that it had such...
  • the game works so much better when you gain speed and start to find cool lines around the map which you just can't really do in the base game.
  • Even while playing it, it offered zero challenge
  • I tried this game about a year ago and just couldn’t get into it. It felt like a weaker, slower version of a Tony Hawk game without the smart map design and tricky combos.

As a big JSR fan, Bomb Rush gave me everything that I was looking for in a spiritual successor. The music was incredible, all of the levels flowed really well (except for Pyramid Island), the characters and their designs fit right into the style and vibe of JSR, and the game improved upon the combos and traversal of the levels. Very little that I didn't like but overall a 10/10 for me!

I had a lot of fun with it, but could beat it in an evening. I was really into Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games growing up and that certainly made the game easier. I was happy with the game, however I couldn't help but feel that it had such untapped potential.

Parent context: Absolutely. The only thing I didn't like about Bomb Rush Cyberfunk was its soundtrack. Not that it was bad, but it really couldn't compare to Jet Set Radio's. Reply: The OST was almost entirely great except for a few abrasive ones, for me it was HAIR DONE NAILS DONE lol.
