Pros

  • All highly recommended! Lol missing is my 90s Royle, Dyson DC45 canister and Dyson stick
  • I’ve had a Bissell Crosswave and now have a Hoover Streamline. Yes they are absolutely worth it.

Cons

  • our current Bissell Crosswave is literally the worst vacuum I have ever used.
  • If you want a machine that can tackle dry crumbs and semi-wet toddler messes in one go, this is your best bet. Not as durable as SEBO or Shark and not amazing on carpet, but super convenient for tile + quick cleanups.
  • The BISSELL CrossWave looks pretty good, but I'm not sure how long it will last.
  • More like a large version of a Hoover Floormate or Bissell Crosswave.
  • You might be thinking about a vacuum-mop like the Bissell Crosswave or Tineco iFloor, but these are mops and do not dry vacuum. Some Crosswaves dry vacuum very poorly.

Firstly the crosswave is advertised as a hard floor cleaner first, and a "carpet refresher" or similar second. It does not extract messes and liquid nearly as well as a purpose built carpet cleaner like the little green.

I have the corded and while I would not say it's great, I use it all the time and am not convinced that any thing else is better. Bunch of little design choices I find annoying: Water take up tank is full when it's still 1/2 empty. Water reservoir is small and needs filling all the time. Pickup of anything stuck to the floor is horrible. ... Edge cleaning is horrible.

I don't recommend vac-mops like the Bissell Crosswave and other vac-mops because they require so much cleanup after each use. Most vac-mops only wet clean, they don't dry vacuum, and they have no hose or tools.

Parent context: oops, i meant wet dry vac! like the Bissell crosswave :) Reply: The issue with wet/dry combo vacs is… they’re basically masters of nothing *and* they’re not overly reliable long term either.
