Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro

Pros

• Beyerdynamic even has the MMX 330 Pro, which is a headset for around 300, Headphones in the same quality
• Budget? I just bought the Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro. Use them mainly for gaming but really good.
• my pick would be the mmx 330, 300 pro, or the pc38x, ps5 controller can easily drive these headphones
• The more expensive Beyerdynamic headsets, the MMX 300 and 330 Pro, both have fantastic microphones by gaming headset standards, but they’re also *extremely* sensitive so you’ll want to tweak that.
• I also like the Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro. It is open back as well but I give Sony the edge for comfort. Oh and I recommend the V-Moda Boom Pro Mic if you get the Sony. The Sony doesn’t come with a microphone but the Beyerdynamic does.

Cons

• Only candidates that spring to mind are the Maxwell (as noted), Drop PC38X (horrible to get in the UK) and Beyerdynamic MMX 300 Pro (closed back), or MMX 330 Pro (open back).
• Because, frankly, it's a bad headphone with an exceptionally good mic. It's roughly tuned to the same diffuse field target as the 9X0 series sets. It's not as sibilant as those sets, to be fair, but it's just following the same approach...
• I’m currently looking at the: * Audeze Maxwell (bit expensive) * Beyerdynamic MMX 330 pro (or the MMX300) * Blackshark v3 pro
• mmx 330 pro are open back and mmx 300 pro are closed back.
• Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro : i read a lot about it on reddit, it is QUITE out of budget for me (300 Hello?) but if there's no comparison to the other, i will think about it.
