No you can't do that at this time of year as the BE does not run between Tirano and St Moritz in either direction. In the winter it runs between Tirano and Chur only and there is only 1 trip a day. And it leaves Tirano early in the afternoon. So if you do stop off anywhere and then get a regional train the rest of the way then that will mean doing part of the journey in the dark.
