Me and my friend drove from The Netherlands->Copenhagen->Gothenburg->Oslo->Bergen->Trondheim->Tornio->Oulu->Turku->Helsinki->Tallinn->Riga->Kaunas->Warsaw->The Netherlands in 13 days.
Last year I did Oslo and Bergen and spent about £50/day on food (mix of restaurants, street food and supermarket meals). Activities and entertainment is super varied but I felt both cities had a lot of free things to do. Transportation can add up but both cities are walkable.
Born cities have excellent public transport which is also more than good enough to take you outside of them into the stunning landscapes around.
I went to Bergen and Alesund last June and it was snow-free (except for a glacier hike, but that's a given LOL).

In Bergen it was much less snowy and “warmer” with rain so big change from the mountains. The city was very quiet this time of year with good walking trails from the funicular. We did a walking tour and learned about the city and enjoyed a lot of fish cakes!
Love Bergen! I did my first solo trip to there couple years ago and have been dreaming of going back since then. Went on a fjords tour and stopped at Flam. Then took the flam railway on return. If you love mountains, ocean and being amidst nature, it’s a fantastic option!
