Pros

  • And the Bellroy Venture Ready Sling 2.5L is always going to be on this list. With that one though, I love my Baida ripstop nylon version.
  • Have mine for nearly 3 years now. Same color and materials (black, 1st gen). Love it. My go to sling for travel. Perfect size and organization for me. I prefer having a dedicated pocket for every item, so they don’t rub against each oth...
  • Incredibly comfortable with a smart compression system that keeps a slim profile when not packed out. Unique look with personality (glossy zippers, dual-color webbing). Thoughtful organization with three compartments including a secure b...
  • I own and love my Bellroy Venture Ready Sling 2.5L. It’s been my go-to companion for over 1.5 years.
  • I personally daily drive their venture ready sling (2.5L), but I guess is too small for what you are aiming for

Cons

  • Love it, but yeah it's pricy, and smaller than claimed (but big enough for what I need running errands etc.).
  • This is why I sold mine. It’s got too much organization for me and that limits what can be stored in it. I actually really like the classic slings they came out with last year.
  • Parent context: I do feel like Tomtoc T33 would be more spacious since it’s more boxy even though both of those slings are rated to be 2.5L. Reply: You are correct; I also have the 2.5l aviator and I can indeed fit more in it than the Be...
  • Love it too ! Just two thing i didn't like : 1 - i just hate the glossy zippers (and would have prefer without coating) 2 - as soon as i got it the first thing i did was cutting and replacing the zipper pulls (just couldn't stand the f...
  • You forgot to mention it’s in no way a true 2.5l capacity. 1.5 at best. (I have one, I know.)

I prefer having a dedicated pocket for every item, so they don’t rub against each other. Love the fact that it has 3 compartments (that way, for instance, when i take my wallet out, my airpods case is not falling out). After all this time using it coated zippers still looks brand new (and i often travel to a tropical climate places). Absolutely love the dedicated, highly padded phone compartment.

Parent context: I do feel like Tomtoc T33 would be more spacious since it’s more boxy even though both of those slings are rated to be 2.5L. Reply: You are correct; I also have the 2.5l aviator and I can indeed fit more in it than the Bellroy. Maybe it’s the material on the black venture, but it’s a lot more stiff than the nylon of the tomtoc. I managed to pop out a lens on my glasses attempting to fit everything in.

PU-coated zippers can be slightly sticky. Zipper pulls started to show wear after 1.5 years. 90 USD price tag is on the higher end for a 2.5L sling.

Incredibly comfortable with a smart compression system that keeps a slim profile when not packed out. Unique look with personality (glossy zippers, dual-color webbing). Thoughtful organization with three compartments including a secure back pocket. Grippy, non-slip strap with a satisfying magnetic clasp. High-quality materials and construction.
