Battle Line

If anyone’s looking for a quick, tense 2-player this week, I’ll toss in Schotten Totten (or Battle Line). Plays fast, super portable, and has just enough brain burn without scaring off non-gamers.

4. Battle line (high luck)

I just played Battle Line for the first time and really enjoyed it. I have play many games of Lost Cities, but I enjoyed in Battle Line how you can't win a flag unless your opponent competes against you for the same flag

I love more cutthroat battles like battle line, hive, or marabunta.

It's been my #1 favorite game for about 12 years now... although I bet even without the tactics cards it still might be my #1. Not sure.

Love Battle Line. Lost Cities too, just a little less because Keltis is my favored LC family member.

Battle Line is still excellent and I enjoy the rummy/poker melding as well as the dual win conditions. I like that you can prove that a lane is unwinnable to keep an opponent from dumping trash into one lane they know they lost.

the hand management aspect to guarantee your victory of each flag/stone in this game is the simplified version of Arboretum's right to score system that I like best. It obviously is a bit less tense than having the sum of each type of tree you want to score, but it is indeed a quite easy to grasp form of scoring right that doesn't take out almost nothing in terms of decision space.
