Battle for Rokugan

Pros

• there is a shorter version of the game that is in the Legends of the Five Rings universe called Battle for Rokugan which is excellent.
• Check out **Battle for Rokugan**
• One of the best area control games ever made and the best of the hidden order style. I wish it had reprint/expansion/re theme/anything to keep this game going. Such a great ruleset
• BfR is still one of my favorites. A small dudes on a map that only takes about an hour. The tension in this game is so good.
• BfR absolutely holds up (and is still considered a modern game!), and is my preferred area control at that weight class.

Cons

• It's a great game in need of a refresh. The colors are indeed an issue, and I personally find the tokens a little annoying (no where near as bad as Antiquity though).
• I agree that there are a couple colors (specifically grey and blue) that are difficult to parse... keep in mind it's a "dead" game. No expansions expected. If you plan on playing it occasionally, no big deal. But if you plan on grinding...
