Pros

  • A bigger place like Bari makes more sense as a base for me, that time of year.. more choice of accommodation, better transport connections and more to see and do.
  • stay in Lecce or Bari for cheap
  • We made Bari our base and found it very good for that. It has lots of good restaurants, the old city is very nice, and there are beaches nearby.
  • Puglia lot of hotels and beach towns are pretty pretty dead in November. Lecce and Bari not so much though.
  • We visited Pugliano a Mare, Mereta, Bari and Monopoli. ... our favorite days were our day trips.

Cons

  • I would not pick Bari. Personally I would pick Turin (it is “big” but feels very, very small). If I was going to Puglia I’d choose Lecce over Bari. It’s prettier and less touristy because it doesn’t have a port.
  • Bari is a headache. It’s a big industrial city.
  • Bari has more big city vibes, not my fav.
  • bari is way expensive tho. monopoli would be cheaper.
  • Bari is cool but it’s a bit more of a city.

We visited Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, and Bari. I’m already dreaming of going back.
