Bardstown Discovery Series #13

After several pours of Disco 13 I came to realize that it's one of the best *double oaked profile* bourbons I've tasted. It has both age and complexity which most in this category lack.

I usually don’t buy backups, particularly of harder or more rare bottles, but I ran into this one a little bit after my first purchase and decided to get a backup so I could kill the first one as quickly as I wanted to. I’ll probably kill it tonight! It’s such good juice.

I just had a neck pour and I liked it quite a bit, though it didn't blow me away. What did impress me is how much juicy, succulent oak there was on the palate - I swear I was salivating for a full minute after each sip.

Tot agree. Let it breathe and open up - tot diff animal. I fresh cracked mine, initial taste was v good but then after letting it rest 30 min, coming back to it I was blown away. Really incredible finish. Better than 12 IMO but is a diff animal.

Every time I revisit this bottle it's better.

Parent context: I tried this and the newest Ferrand recently. Both gave turkey vibes. And both were excellent. I ended up buying the Ferrand. But still may go back and grab the disco. Really Really wish I'd gotten this instead when I grabbed the bombergers Reply: I think if you give it justtt a bit to open, it turns into a fantastic pour. Apparently I’m a big fan of this one, blind or not!

I've had 1 1/2 of these bottles, and one for back up. It's an incredible pour. Couldn't agree more with your review. Absolute BANNNGGGRRR.
