Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • The only thing I really had to do was create a backplate as well as the label with really basic shapes in Bambu Studio.
  • The new fuzzyskin paint function on bambu Studio is gold!
  • In bambu studio I added a pause function to the layer I wanted the color change. I then scrubbed through the layer in bambu studio and viewed where to manually pause my machine
  • Also my first time REALLY painting in Bambu Studio. She's not perfect but I love her.

Cons

  • Strange because I was using Bambu studio and the height of the model was only 248mm
  • Parent context: Is there a better way? Just curious? I just used whatever infill the model defaulted to in Bambu Studio. Reply: Yeah, grid is still the default and it absolutely should not be.
  • I'm trying to see how much I can reduce the poop during purges when changing the settings in Bambu Studio.
  • In fact, I just checked on Bambu Studio, and printing one is 41 hours and takes 898g of filament.
  • Ah ok. It’s a bit a a pain in Bambu Studio, I was hoping to be able to generate it without. Ah well, it nice software nonetheless!

The material cost is something Bambu Studio can tell you after slicing. You just need to enter the cost of the spool in the filament parameters.

Parent context: Well that's fucking cool. Too bad Bambu users that update won't be able to easily use this if Bambu doesn't implement it into Studio. Reply: There is no problem with running post-processing scripts in Bambu Studio, and the link provided by OP says "works for Bambustudio, Orcaslicer and Prusaslicer" anyway.

If you use only Bambu studio, and only other Bambu software, nothing of importance really.
