Audyssey XT32

Pros

• For anyone who doesn't want to tinker, Audyssey XT32 is a great product and will get you at least 90% there with no fuss.
• It's widely considered better than Audyssey XT32 and second only to Dirac (and some feel it's just as good as Dirac).
• XT32 is very powerful and can do a lot to make your system sound excellent, especially at low volumes, which Dirac cannot.
• The 2800 has Audyssey XT and the 3800 has Audyssey XT32. ... 3800 is the lowest cost option to open up the maximum number of room correction DSP options.
• Xt32 is worth it.

Cons

• Audyssey XT32 (Red): deep null at ~30 Hz and another at ~90–100 Hz → worst modal handling. Likely due to static EQ approach without phase/time-domain optimization.
• Parent context: I’ve been using ART for about a week now. ... It’s been incredible in my system. Reply: Everything just sounds good with ART. Most impressive for me is how dialogues are always clear and audible even in high action movie...
• The sound is definitely better to my ears than stock Audyssey, but it's hard to pinpoint how much is due to the calibration algorithm vs the target curve vs the little bits of room treatments I've added so far.
• When I went from an Audyssey XT32 AVR to one with Dirac, I was shocked that the basic 3 measurement calibration sounded better to me than Audyssey.
• Do I have to use the Audyssey XT32 calibration from the Denon amplifier itself?
