Pros

  • Played 3+ hours of Halo CE with my buddy and they never got uncomfortable, hot or otherwise unpleasant to wear. At first the warmer sound signature to me sounded worse than my 990's but as I listened to a variety of different songs I not...
  • I love these headphones, I think they're really underrated and sound incredible. People critisise the treble response I suppose, but I think the relaxed presentation is really nice for long sessions, you can just sink into it.
  • It's easy to see why they're designed for gaming, with that relaxed treble but ample detail and imaging performance. I think they're among my favourites and I would pick them over many (most?) non-gaming headphones too.
  • If you look at the tuning on something like the LCD-GX you actually have reduced emphasis in the treble range and for people that are gaming for hours on end, that can provide a great balance of high quality sound, without fatigue.
  • You can EQ the Bass on the GX to get insane planar subbass

Cons

  • The only thing that worries me is I heard the cable with the built in mic sucks so we'll see.
  • Only thing is after 5 years of owning them I found the pads and headband fell apart, I had to replace them which isn't much of an issue but the pads I bought were stiffer and less comfortable.
  • The mic cable is really dogshit. But I loved the headphones.
