AT&T

Pros
- I would use AT&T. That's my go to. When you're "roaming" it will still show up as Atlanta and etc.
- I’m from New Orleans we had AT&T it was the best.
Cons
- AT&T needs better or alternative recovery methods. If my phone is the problem and it’s all I have, sending me a text is just stupid.
- I pay Comcast/Xfinity separately and have the option of going with AT&T but seeing as they doesn’t have a better deal (at least the last time I checked) I figured I’d stick with the devil I know.
- The carriers don’t make E-Sim transfers too easy….well at least not ATT.
- I would stay away from AT&T if you can. Here in the Raleigh, NC area they have had too many outages.
- I am currently with AT&T on a family plan but shopping around I see that there are much better single person plans that can be cheaper than the portion I pay with the family plan.

So after spending over an hour on the line with AT&T, they said there was nothing else they could do. He said my phone has a physical SIM card which is most likely damaged and the cause of my problem.
any other hesitations vs spending $ 10/mo+taxes at att?

We had some trouble with AT&T in the US with IPSec to KPN at HQ in NL, causing slow startup and logins. AT&T routed through Cogent, between Cogent in Amsterdam and KPN in Amsterdam, 60ms of latency was added.
