Pros

  • Parent context: For me the Syndicate was the worst of all parts. I hated it. Couldn't wait to finish to not play it anymore. Reply: I loved Unity,
  • Definitely it's the nest AC game in a long time since unity
  • Unity is probably the last “old school” ac game. It also had the best parkour system ever in AC and still does to this day.

Cons

  • That's interesting because I feel like AC3 is the one game in the series that I've heard the most negativity towards (other than maybe Unity with its technical mishaps).
  • Parent context: Arno is a terrible character and I wish they just gave us Elise as the main character instead, especially after we had Edward in Black Flag. Apart from how it looks, I completely agree with you that I don't understand the...
  • For me, I thought Unity was very much a combination of AC3 and AC1 and I don't mean that in a positive way.
  • Parent context: Unity sucked so much I was able to sell it on Ebay for $40 and buy a code for it off eBay with AC blackflag for $10 Reply: The funny thing is that a lot of people are giving Unity way more love these days. Each to their o...
  • Sure, the game works better than it did at launch, but the combat is still janky as hell, I’m still being shot through walls and parries occasionally arent registering.

Parent context: Arno is a terrible character and I wish they just gave us Elise as the main character instead, especially after we had Edward in Black Flag. Apart from how it looks, I completely agree with you that I don't understand the Unity love. The "stealth" in that game is buggy as hell, the parkour LOOKS cool but Arno will just do what he wants and jump into areas you never intended on him going to, and … Reply: Yeah 100% agree, he had zero arc. ... My recent playthrough of Unity made me dislike the game more than I had beforehand, and I already wasn't big on it to begin with.

Syndicate didn’t sell badly because it was a bad game, rather people had been put off the franchise thanks to Unity’s launch, which is still talked about today as one of the most catastrophic from a AAA developer
