Arturia Keystep Pro

Pros
- Your next purchase might be a dedicated sequencer. That way you have a centralized place to switch patterns instead of having to fiddle with each device individually. A Keystep Pro would work.
- I have a minifreak(love this thing), a keystep pro, and an ableton move. I can pretty much all my bases with these
- For your setup I'd probably lean toward the keystep pro over the SMK since you mentioned wanting arp features - it's got way better sequencing capabilities which sounds like what you're actually after for live stuff
- The keystep pro could sequence all three. the advantage it has over the beatsteps is that it can do polyphonic sequencing for the blofeld as well as drums and mono for the sub 37
- I have both and I would recommend the keystep pro. I like the keys, 4 channels or channels and a drum. I like playing chords in my sequences as well.

if youp can get one on sale, maybe a keystep pro as an overall sequencer and to give your volcas an actual keyboard.
Parent context: Now I'm only torn between that and the keylab mk3 because of the stupid screen showing the vst 😅 the pro is probably the better option. Thanks! Reply: If you want to work offline to create and save jams before moving into DAW, then Keystep Pro by a mile.
I recently bought a Keystep Pro and am using it to sequence a Syntakt, Nina, Super 6 Desktop and a Steampipe. It's perfect for creating draft compositions and hooks quickly. If I like something enough, then I move it into Ableton. 100% worth it for me and was the workflow booster I needed.
The keystep pro is great. Very nifty and straightforward. And for me a total plus, it has minimum menu diving required, everything pretty much has a knob or pot to do what’s wanted.
The $500 price on the keystep pro is totally palatable for me.
