Pros

  • Going for the platinum took around 50 hours and it was an engaging experience from start to finish, a rare experience when going for Platinum trophies.
  • This game was such a blast. After all Dark Souls games, ER, Bloodborne, and Sekiro I was craving some more From Soft games. AC plays quite differently but I was impressed with how they managed to make such a great game that significantly...
  • The voice actors in this game are so great, even the small roles are good. When you're fighting Michigan he tells everyone they can leave if they're little babies when he gets there and one of the grunts goes "READY TO DIE SIR!" and it's...
  • Overall its probably my favorite FromSoft Game. I'm in awe how realised all these characters are just by their fricking voicelines and their delivery.
  • Your mechs feel weighty and big but can still feel very fast with your movements. The game also has training missions you can do to help get a better sense of how the game plays, and which also give you free parts for doing them which is...

Cons

  • I burned out on this game at the Balteus skill check (could never get past him) but I should give it another go.

This game was such a blast. After all Dark Souls games, ER, Bloodborne, and Sekiro I was craving some more From Soft games. AC plays quite differently but I was impressed with how they managed to make such a great game that significantly shifted from their modern game design.

The voice actors in this game are so great, even the small roles are good. When you're fighting Michigan he tells everyone they can leave if they're little babies when he gets there and one of the grunts goes "READY TO DIE SIR!" and it's such a great line cus you can practically hear him shitting his pants.

Your mechs feel weighty and big but can still feel very fast with your movements. The game also has training missions you can do to help get a better sense of how the game plays, and which also give you free parts for doing them which is a nice way of helping new players out.

I can say that I wish I'd committed to this game much sooner because it was just a blast from start to finish, even as a newcomer to Armored Core as a series. ... For story I'd honestly consider this as one of my favorite stories in a FromSoft game without question.

visually Armored Core VI is breathtaking with a really unique artstyle that feels cold and dreary but not in a bad way at all. Loved the amount of variety in the environments you visit whether it be deserts, snowfields, oceanic cities, massive hanging gridlinks, or deserts with sandstorms.

For music the soundtrack here is amazing too and I'd say easily stands up there with plenty of the Soulsborne OSTs as some of my favorites from FromSoft.
