Apple Watch Ultra 1

Pros

• In my case I got a fresh Ultra 1 with AppleCare+ and gave it to my dad, who is really happy about his watch, so that’s good. It does seem a little bit snappier but nothing that would prevent me from using an Ultra 1 either.
• I purchased the ultra 1 myself, my girlfriend gifted me the ultra 2 on my birthday October of 2024. Gave the ultra 1 to my younger brother who is still happily using it today.
• Ultra 1 then ultra 2, electrician, site work, reaching into ceilings, under floors, dust, debris, working outside in the not so lovely Scottish weather, no case no screen protection, never missed a beat no scratches either.
• If you are UK, go to CEX and get a second hand ultra 1. I did that for £260 (91% battery health) and it’s AMAZING
• Get a second hand ultra 1. That’s what I’m doing

Cons

• It took me a few tries, starting with the Ultra 1, but I love this watch.
• My Ultra 1 lasts about 30 hours on a single charge during daily wear. GPS and HR both remain on and tracked but the intervals of which are much less than with a Garmin does. If I have low battery mode on from 100% it’ll last 2-3 days.
• I moved from the Ultra 1 to Epic Gen 2 pro and massively regret it.
