Pros

  • To this day, the best flying mechanic I've ever experienced in a videogame

Cons

  • EA isn’t blameless, as they want more money and forced Frostbite on them (which led to some of their dev problems), but I have a hard time saying EA ruined BioWare when there are only 2 games they made that I love pre EA purchase (Jade E...

  • The anthem amp is probably 5k plus (a whole home audio amp was going to cost me 4K).

What redditors said (10 of 11)

EA isn’t blameless, as they want more money and forced Frostbite on them (which led to some of their dev problems), but I have a hard time saying EA ruined BioWare when there are only 2 games they made that I love pre EA purchase (Jade Empire and Kotor… though obviously ME1 was, as mentioned, done before the sale). EA has fucked up a lot of things over the years, but BioWare’s issues IMO are on BioWare and its leadership. ... especially since we know Anthem being a live service looter shooter was BioWare’s idea.

I was so mad reading how botched Anthem was cause if the game directors just bothered to create a vision for the game during their preproduction and actually nail down plans then the devs would’ve been able to create a game instead of essentially a demo.

It’s kind of not a surprise it ended up how it did and it’s a shame because flying around and blowing stuff up was fun for a while.

Utterly not shocking. It was only a matter of time after they scrapped the 2.0 update. However it’s honestly kind of bullshit that huge gaming companies can simply nullify a purchase by making it straight up unplayable.

could have been a great Iron Man Simulator if they just designed it with an engaging endgame.

Andromeda, Anthem and then Veilgaurd are all divisive at least. Sales were disappointing for all of them.
