I love the smell of Angel on others but on me it smells like Worcestershire sauce.
Angel was reformulated some years back and the current iteration of it is just not the same or as good. Personally the current version of Angel is much more heavy on the patchouli and less warm and deep than the original.
First time i tried it i sprayed some on my wrist at an airport and wasn't impressed at first. But after a while i felt this glorious scent - just what you describe, soft, deep, warm, chocolatey, caramely - as a cloud around me the whole day, and i just had to buy it a few weeks later. I only felt THAT intial scent a few times since then, but most often i only feel the sharp patchouli.

Angel really only has the long flat run open, all the steeper/sustained stuff is either closed or very sketchy.
