The level aesthetics really just suddenly got good in the last half of the game... Unfortunately the enemies and combat never improved the same way the levels did, and a fps lives and dies on its actual gameplay. I dont remember any enemy behavior whatsoever

Amid Evil is a FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC shooter. Loved it to bits and replayed it too many times to count. Top tier level design.
Amid Evil and I Am Your Beast really work for me
Amid Evil, Ion Fury and Dusk are also great.
Compared to some other fantasy-themed shooters like Quake or Amid Evil, there is a clear attempt to make Argent D'Nur feel like it was once a normal place
