Pros
- alpi di Siusi is beautiful.
- For me Ortisei and Alpe di Siusi are very relaxing places
- for genuinely flat, beginner walking with the big views, alpe di siusi is the one to aim for - a cable car lifts you to about 2,000m and the meadow trails up top are wide and mostly gentle.
- For an easy Dolomites day that still looks unreal, Alpe di Siusi is hard to beat. You ride a cable car up and then it's basically flat meadow walking with Sassolungo right in front of you, nothing steep.
- places around Seceda, Alpe di Siusi, and Cinque Torri can become much longer than they look on a map. With ten hiking days, I would pick a few no-lift challenge days and budget for lifts where they unlock the better route.
Cons
- We considered Alpe di Siusi and Seceda, but found the cable cars to be too expensive
- Alpe di Siusi- We rented e-bikes and attempted the panoramic. This was a fucking nightmare. ... I think this whole area is super overrated honestly.

It has great cable car access right out of town that takes you straight up to places like Alpe di Siusi, which is perfect for easy to moderate walks without needing crazy mountaineering skills.
There are so many things that we want to do in the dolomites, so we try to narrow down to Alpe di Siusi (biking)
