Pros
- Upvoted for Alien Isolation. Absolutely goated game.
- First, I agree with you about the environment. This is something I loved about the game when I first played it, and I love it just as much the second time around: the station feels real, weighty, and tactile.
- Alien Isolation, a game in which the environments and atmospheres are one of the most immersive and engrossing Sci-Fi worlds I'd ever had the good fortune to play.
- I'd recently talked about my experience with Alien Isolation, a game in which the environments and atmospheres are one of the most immersive and engrossing Sci-Fi worlds I'd ever had the good fortune to play.
- I played the original Subnautica in 2019, back-to-back with SOMA and Alien Isolation. The three formed a sort of purple patch in my gaming history that I haven't recreated since and all are top tier games for me.
Cons
- I noped out of Alien Isolation and Amnesia
- I tried it many times and found it too frustrating in the past.
- I enjoyed my time with this game far more than I'd initially worried. Some of my hesitations were founded in the end but I'd argue the bright spot here was the fantastic environments. The major downside being certain sections of the game...

- Alien Isolation is another that I loved when it was firing on all cylinders, but definitely overstayed its welcome. I dropped it around 12 hours in because I didn't want to sour my experience

Alien Isolation managed to avoid this entirely, by having weapons and key items (blowtorch, hacking tool etc) be freely carryable, and a per item limit on medkits and utility items like noisemakers and molotovs.
Great game though perhaps a bit long
I tried it many times and found it too frustrating in the past.
I enjoyed my time with this game far more than I'd initially worried. Some of my hesitations were founded in the end but I'd argue the bright spot here was the fantastic environments. The major downside being certain sections of the game almost felt as though they were trying to rush the player from area to area which actively undermined the player's ability to appreciate their surroundings
