Pros

  • Alien: Earth is 'Andor for Alien' — Review
  • Alien: Earth (scifi/horror/thriller)
  • The two best streaming shows of the last two years! I really hope Alien:Earth nails it all the way through.
  • It’s well done and feels like a fun fresh take on the franchise. I’ve been enjoying it and can’t wait to see what all the other aliens they have do.
  • Alien Earth is pretty awesome also, they just released 3 episodes.

Cons

  • Series lots of other people love and recommend but I can't get on board with: Alien Earth
  • Alien: Earth recently did the same thing, said the chest burster and face huggers were all practical puppetry when it was 100% CGI.
  • Basically NONE of the plot points got resolved at all. they teased a bunch of things that might happen, and then literally none of them did. Really dissapointed in this show.
  • I really hope it gets better tbh. There were things I really liked but it ultimately felt like it couldn’t commit to its self.
  • Agreed. It felt like the end of the first act of a stage play. Unfortunately, in this day-and-age, that’s not how you should end a season. It’s a bit reckless.

My biggest complaint was there was so much buildup but then it all fizzled out in the finale to carry to a S2 anyway. So glad it’s at least confirmed and I’ll watch it.

Man, I love Hawley's other work and had such high hopes for this series and was so excited about it, but the writing in episodes 6-8 was really discouraging and quite frankly has really muted my interest in a season 2.
