Pros

• I'd also look into your alarm.com equipment. They're a decent company and it's possible you may be able to use the equipment without a fee for home automation.
• I’m hoping just to be able to give my wife the easiest way to manage things from the one app and integrate with our alarm.com/surety.
• If you’re okay with a subscription fee, I would actually recommend alarm.com. They have a smart thermostat, temperature sensors, and things like a bed sensor that will let you see if she got out of bed each day, among other things.

• Are you running alarm.com software with your IQ2 panel? If so, the Zooz actuator is supported by alarm.com.
• I read about Qolsys IQ panel and monitoring with safehomecentral.com and then using alarm.com app, but not sure what smart devices are compatible with that app.
• Maybe insist that whatever alarm system they install can be monitored by competitors such as alarm.com, etc, allowing you to shop around and swap for the best deals.
