A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) is a highly polarizing 'romantasy' series that serves as a major gateway for new readers into the fantasy genre, though it is frequently criticized by traditional fantasy enthusiasts. While its commercial success and 'addictive' nature are acknowledged, many readers find the writing quality, world-building, and character development to be substandard compared to genre benchmarks.

A Court of Thorns and Roses was off-puttingly horny.
A Court of Thornes and Roses. One of the most annoying main characters I've come across so far. I couldn't even finish the first book
For me, worst: ...Acotar
it’s just a character rising to face the day that makes them the chosen one. maybe they’ll win and maybe they won’t, but for the moment, it’s who they are. Mistborn, Acotar, Blacktongue Thief do this well.
ACOTAR was crap
Please don’t recommend ACOTAR. First book is a 2/5 for me and I thought it was pretty slow.
I really like ACOTAR, Fourth Wing, and OUABH.
ACOTAR, for example, made me cringe almost immediately. Nothing against it just not for me
I enjoyed the romance in the other series a lot, but the FMCs too young and writing repetitive and not as strong as CC. Did love ACOSF most. (Not hating, I still enjoyed and plan to read the new books lol)
And yes push through first ACOTAR, books 2,3,4 are worth it
