Pros

  • You’ll still need a system like 3CX to handle the calls but I’ve had great success with voip.ms + 3CX.
  • I’ve always done this for things like phone systems (3CX) and print servers as it’s only a few £ a month for cheap Linux servers.
  • We're a smaller business, ~120 users and are really liking 3CX's hosted offerings. For the record I would not want to touch them with a 10ft pole if I was a vendor, but as a consumer they've been great. Stable, no issues with support the...
  • I’m a big fan of 3CX. I work at a trust built up of ~15 schools and a single 3CX instance is more than powerful for us. It’s fairly simple to get setup and running on VM.
  • I would say one of the killer features of 3CX is their SBC. It allows for massive deployments in a snap.

Cons

  • Looking at you 3CX!!
  • 3CX is always a feather ruffler. The CEO himself will ban resellers who bring issues to the forum instead of to him directly. I really just can't let these go.
  • We use 3CX. They did have a security incident a few years ago and they ruffled a lot of people the wrong way with forcing everyone on to v20 this year, but I have yet to find a system that is better for the value. We use them on prem and...
  • Mainly got into phone systems like 4 or 5 years back when someone told me about 3cx and i then spent hours trying to get more features out of it because of its expensive licensing model.
  • In a nutshell, it is administering Microsoft 365 and on-prem AD (hybrid setup), administering our VOIP solution (3CX), PaperCut, end-user support

We're a smaller business, ~120 users and are really liking 3CX's hosted offerings. For the record I would not want to touch them with a 10ft pole if I was a vendor, but as a consumer they've been great. Stable, no issues with support the one or two times I've had to get ahold of them and their SBC seems like it's a lot better hashed out than anyone else's offerings that I've worked with.

We use 3CX. They did have a security incident a few years ago and they ruffled a lot of people the wrong way with forcing everyone on to v20 this year, but I have yet to find a system that is better for the value. We use them on prem and it's a very intuitive system and is easy to manage.
