Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • The closest thing to a paid browser extension I can think of is 1Password, and that's more an integration for a service you already pay for.
  • We just deployed it (though I've been a user for years) and staff love it.
  • 1Password is solid. Great user interface and very easy to manage.
  • 1password with SOO
  • 1Password is the best of the bunch. We've gone so far as to block the ability to save passwords in Chrome or Edge via InTune in some cases. That only leaves them with one option: 1Password.

Cons

  • 1password is great but not cheap
  • Also using 1Password.
  • Proton Pass (switching from 1Password).

1Password, BitWarden and Keeper are your best options.

1password. I used Bitwarden personally for years but switched to 1p last year.

last year I switched from BW to 1password and I honestly think it's a ton better for the end-user scenario, and even for devs with the better integrations for SSH, VS Code, stuff like that.
