AI summary — not a quote

Panasonic is highly regarded as a top-tier brand for specific niches, particularly Blu-ray players, bathroom ventilation fans, and video-centric cameras. While generally associated with reliability and "Buy It For Life" quality, users note that their budget-tier televisions and certain regional appliance lines may not meet the same high standards as their flagship products.

Pros

  • Industry-leading UHD Blu-ray players noted for ease of use and reliability over competitors.
  • Highly recommended bathroom ventilation fans that are quiet and durable.
  • Excellent video features in cameras, including 6K open gate recording and praised color science.
  • Strong reputation for air conditioners, particularly in the Indian market.

Cons

  • Significant HDMI lag reported in some camera models (approx. 120ms).
  • Budget-sector TVs are criticized for poor quality compared to premium offerings.
  • Reports of the brand abandoning specific appliance sectors, such as washing machines in India.
  • Projectors with superior black levels often carry a heavy price premium.

I have a Panasonic and LG from a few years ago. Panasonic one is a bit older (~1 year) than the LG one and performs way better than the LG. Way faster cooling.

And definitely do not go with an automatic burner, we had to scrap our 5yr old faber because apparently these models are not even repairable!

Better to go models that are not auto ignition and brands like faber or prestige. They cost almost the replacement price , cleaning is easy and the hob stays for two generations easily.
