I remember when my early-issue (90s?) Leatherman Wave became worn-in just enough that they could sort of "flick" open. There were 3 very rapid soft clicks as it opened all the way. Pure pleasure, lol.

At this point i like the locking innovation on different knife designs..my favorite being the twist style on Opinels.

Obligatory Opinel Upvote, but it needs a few years of apple cutting patina to archive true grampmaxxing.
My 20 dollar opinel is just as capable, if not more than, for 99% of the reasons you use an edc knife than your 250 dollar benchmade
