I've heard great things about KomodoLuxury and their private Phinisi yacht charters around Komodo and Raja Ampat, but that might be a bit of a detour from your current plan.

For Komodo Island, I did a private charter with Komodo Luxury last year and it was amazing! They have these traditional Phinisi yachts that are really well maintained and the crew knows the area insanely well. We spent 4 days sailing around Komodo National Park and it was definitely worth it.

For Komodo, skip the backpacker boats and go with a private Phinisi. KomodoLuxury runs handcrafted yachts out of Labuan Bajo. So you pick the anchor times, hit Padar before the crowds. When we went, the crew helped us get to the most amazing dragons and manta sites. We did their 3night loop in May last year. Water was flat, mantas were everywhere, and the boat’s chef grilled barracuda while we watched sunset on the top deck. Was perfect

For the liveaboard, KomodoLuxury runs 3D/2N private Phinisi charters out of Labuan Bajo. Really worth it if you want your own boat, not a 20-person bunk.

I was on a boat with Komodo Luxury last month, private cabin Phinsi, left the dock whenever we wanted, hit Padar at 06:00 before the flotilla arrived, spent an hour alone with the mantas at Manta Point, and still made it back for Bajo’s night market. 3D/2N was plenty though

Intrepid Travel is widely regarded as a top-tier choice for small-group tours, particularly for solo travelers seeking a balance between social interaction and cultural immersion. Users frequently compare it favorably to G Adventures, noting a more relaxed, "chill" vibe compared to party-centric companies like Contiki. The experience is highly dependent on the chosen service level, which tends to self-select for different age groups and comfort requirements.

Pros

  • Excellent for solo travelers, with many groups consisting of roughly 50% solo participants.
  • Small group sizes provide a more intimate and manageable travel experience.
  • Well-organized itineraries that balance group activities with free time.
  • Premium tier 'featured stays' are highly praised for quality and uniqueness.

Cons

  • Premium tours can be significantly more expensive, sometimes exceeding $6,000.
  • Budget-level (18-39) trips often utilize basic hotels and overnight trains which may not suit all travelers.
  • Risk of being in a very small group with a significant age gap if the trip doesn't fill up.
  • Some specific niche accommodations (like Amazon lodges) have been reported as underwhelming compared to DIY options.

The hack with intrepid (according to a woman from the corporate office who was on my Morocco trip) is that there's an unofficial self-selecting age divide based on service level. Their cheapest service level trips are gonna be 20-somethings, their mid tier trips are gonna be mostly 30's, and their premium trips are mid/later career professionals, like mostly upper 30's and 40's. There's always a mix of ages but I've done 4 intrepid trips and her assessment rings pretty true. Also, premium Intrepid trips are pretty bonkers. Highly recommend. The featured stays are always jaw dropping and even the stays that aren't featured are consistently very nice.

Another option I’ve been looking at is to sign up for a group tour for the inaccessible parts of each country. Companies like Contiki, Intrepid, G Adventures etc. which have tours for youth under 30.

If you book with one of the big tour companies you'll be fine, e.g.: Intrepid I've been on a few trips with them and there's always a few solo women and it's fine.

From what you write it seems like you might consider one of the tour companies as a first step (Intrepid, G, there's like 12 others)

The tdlr is Contiki will be better if you want to go clubbing at almost every opportunity, whereas Intrepid is a bit more relaxed and usually is social drinks in restaurants/bars with the occasional club.
