JMGO N3 Ultimate may be in budget... certainly going to look better than the Epson models. ... The XGimi and JMGO both have significant lens shift which makes setup significantly easier overall.

Parent context: I have the same projector. I think I'm sensitive to the rainbow effect too, whenever I scan my eyes on the screen quickly. Very noticeable on white subtitles, or anything very white and tiny of course. Reply: Even on white, I still notice it. It really doesnt bother me unless there are white subtitles. Gaming is a joy.
On my jmgo N1S 4K, the experience (110") is so much greater than my TV. I never use the TV for gaming nowadays.
The MALC (Microstructure Adaptive Laser Control) technology in the JMGO N1S 4K already significantly reduces the speckle effect... However, the choice of screen plays a crucial role in the visibility of this effect. I tested this projector on a Fresnel screen and my reference white Lambertian screen. The Fresnel screen, due to its structure and composition, tends to accentuate some of the speckle effect, making it more noticeable. On the other hand, on a white Lambertian screen, this effect is practically absent, delivering a more uniform and pleasant image.
The XGimi Elfin Flip 4K and the JMGO N1S 4K are solid choices, but not nearly as bright or as good for home theater/HDR viewing.
