Then dry it off and put a hydrocolloid bandage on it. That will drain it. The cheap ish CVS ones work very well and you can cut them down to size so that you can end up using one bandage on a small spot probably four times.
Ooh yeah a pimple patch! Or just generic hydrocolloid dressings you can cut to size (that’s really all pimple patches are, some companies add extra stuff).

Mupirocin is also what worked for me, but to be clear it is anti bacterial and not anti fungal. Staph is often involved in these infections, and mupirocin is the most effective treatment for staph.
