Helix Midnight Luxe would be perfect for you.
I bought one a couple months ago from fb marketplace. I love it but my wife started having some neck pain. She already has pre existing neck/back problems so I’m not convinced it’s from the mattress. It is HEAVY. Edge support is pretty good and i never feel my wife toss or turn. I prefer a softer mattress but had to meet in the middle for a medium firm. Overall i think it’s a good mattress. Would I spend 2-3k on it, no.
If I have it on hand, it’s one of the first mattresses I’ll recommend to someone wanting a medium firm mattress.
This was too hot at first , a naturepedic mattress protector and a percale sheet 250 count reduced the heat for me . Love it
Got the Midnight Lux and I absolutely love it.

AI summary — not a quote
Sleep on Latex (SOL) is a prominent supplier of Dunlop latex mattresses and toppers, particularly favored by the DIY mattress community. It is primarily recognized for providing high-quality, GOLS-certified natural latex at competitive price points that often undercut European competitors. Users frequently recommend SOL as a reliable source for building custom sleep systems, citing its consistent quality control and uniform latex density across its Pure Green product line. For many, it serves as a primary recommendation for those transitioning from traditional mattresses to all-latex setups.
The brand's reputation is anchored by its customer-centric policies, specifically a return policy that allows for one free topper return per year with no shipping fees. Reddit users often compare SOL favorably against alternatives like Foam Factory, Arizona Premium Mattress, and Latex Mattress Factory due to this low-risk trial period and superb customer service. Specific praise is also directed at their high-quality zippered covers and the durability of their 2-inch and 3-inch toppers. Many builders report success using a tiered configuration, such as a 3-inch firm base paired with 2-inch medium or soft layers, to create a supportive yet comfortable bed.
The most consistent critique is that SOL firmness ratings run significantly higher than industry averages. Multiple users note that an SOL medium, at approximately 34-36 ILD, feels like a medium-firm from other brands, while their firm layer (around 44 ILD) is described as extra-firm. This intense pushback and a perceived lack of cushiness in the soft layers can lead to pressure point issues for side sleepers, particularly at the shoulders. While opinions divide on whether the material is too stiff, the consensus suggests that new buyers should consider ordering one level softer than they think they need or be prepared to use the return policy to adjust their configuration.
Pros
- Industry-leading return policy allowing one free topper return per year with no shipping fees
- High-quality GOLS-certified natural Dunlop latex with consistent density and thickness
- Excellent customer service and responsive support for DIY mattress builders
- Competitive pricing that is often lower than sourcing similar certified layers from other retailers
Cons
- Firmness levels run significantly higher than standard industry labels (Medium feels like Medium-Firm)
- Dunlop-only selection, which lacks the specific feel and bounce of Talalay latex preferred by some users
- Soft layers may lack sufficient cushiness or pressure relief for side sleepers due to high pushback
- Latex layers and mattresses are notably heavy and difficult to move or adjust

I love gotten products from both sleep on latex and Flobeds, both are great to work with and sleep on.
Yeah, I bought from them and their customer service has been amazing. Makes me afraid to buy from another mattress brand.
Sleep on Latex allows 1 topper to be returned per year for free, thats the best policy of them all though.
Sleep on Latex is the only one who doesnt charge you any fees and pays for shipping.
I think just looking elsewhere such as the Sleep On Latex as you have in mind is a good choice though. A much better company to work worth with more up front marketing tactics.
