Elizabeth line vs Lisbon Metro

Take the Elizabeth line not the Heathrow Express. It goes to the same place, is 10 mins slower but half the price.

Elizabeth Line is much cheaper and hardly any slower.

Personally I would use the Elizabeth line whenever possible, especially if you have luggages.

form Farringdon, you can do elizbeth line to tottenham court road, (front of the train) or Bond street (back of the train and stroll down to Piccadilly.

You don't need to know Portuguese to use the Lisbon Metro. It's very easy to use and everything is signed in English, plus most Portuguese people speak very good English.

Metro shouldn't be too hard without knowing portugese. All you have to do is pay attention to the station "Alameda" where you'd transfer to the green line and then ride that in the direction of Cais de Sodre which is the last station on the green line so all the signs will have that to point out which platform you need to get to.

From Lisbon airport, the easiest way is the metro. Everything is signposted, the machines are in English, and no one speaks to you. One change, you get off near the river, and you walk to Cais do Sodré. It's flat, straightforward, and stress-free.

I don't speak any Portuguese and had no problem with the Lisbon metro. It's one connection, not too difficult.

You don't need to know Portuguese to ride the metro or trains in Lisbon. It's very easy to get between the airport and that train station. You just have to make one switch. Use google maps for exact directions.
