Have you read Educated by Tara Westover, or Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie? Both excellent reads.

Parent context: It’s been in my to-read list for a long time because the cult aspect sounded interesting, so I might go ahead and pick it up! Thank you. Reply: It’s SO good. One of my favorite books.

It was surprisingly a page turner. I read it after I'd been burned out on reading after grad school, and it was nice to read something that was not a slog.
