Dispatch is a highly-regarded narrative adventure that evolves the episodic formula popularized by Telltale Games. It is widely praised for its exceptional writing, art style, and voice acting—specifically Jeffrey Wright's performance—though opinions are mixed on its gameplay mechanics. While many enjoyed the team management 'dispatch' missions, others found the 'hacking' puzzles tedious and the overall interactive elements shallow compared to the strength of the story.
Pros
- Exceptional narrative, dialogue, and character development
- High-quality voice acting, featuring Jeffrey Wright
- Polished art style and animation that exceeds previous genre standards
- Improved pacing over traditional adventure games by removing 'wandering' segments
Cons
- Hacking puzzles are frequently described as boring, time-wasting, and lacking challenge
- Core gameplay can feel shallow or secondary to the story
- Some players felt the ending was rushed or lacked a satisfying conclusion

I thought the dispatch missions were quite fun but holy shit the “hacking” was awful. Boring puzzles that take no brainpower to solve, but just waste your time.
I loved the story, but I even liked the Dispatch gameplay, I wish they had given that aspect more replayability.
People like it because the story is pretty good and the characters are fun, with it feeling fresh and new in terms of how it handles super heroes after the marvel burnout The game is very fun if you like its humor and story focused games, and it won't have a problem running on switch because the game is nearly entirely made up of mp4 files that change based on your choices Also moistcritikal, jacksepticeye and another youtuber i forgot the name of are acting as the voices for some of the heroes, and the general voice acting in the game is extremely well done, even the youtubers are very good
Telltale-like game with a star studded voice cast. Haven't played yet, but I know it was very well received.
It's very light on actual gameplay like a telltale game, usually consisting of minigames and QTEs, but you play it for the story and presentation, which is extremely well done

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is widely celebrated for its revolutionary approach to open-world design, emphasizing player freedom and creative traversal. While it is considered a masterpiece by many for its 'system-driven' gameplay and sense of discovery, some players find the story secondary and the price point frustratingly high for an older title.
Pros
- Exceptional traversal mechanics including climbing, gliding, and a flexible fast-travel system
- Unparalleled player freedom to tackle objectives and the final boss in any order
- Engaging system-driven gameplay that provides a solid set of rules and tools for experimentation
- Beautiful and atmospheric world design that rewards exploration
Cons
- High price point remains static years after release, even for used copies
- Soundtrack is considered less memorable by some compared to previous Zelda titles
- Storytelling is often viewed as secondary to exploration and systems
- Completionist tasks, such as collecting all Korok seeds, can feel draining

Parent context: I think the big issue with open world games is just how boring traversal is. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom did it different because you could traverse the map on different ways. Reply: I think the big issue with open world games is just how boring traversal is. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom did it different because you could traverse the map on different ways. Easy fast travel system that can’t be triggered from anywhere instead of needing to go TO a fast travel point (like Cyberpunk, AC, etc). You can traverse on foot or by land vehicle (most if not all games do this), but you also have elevation, and a glider, which legit makes it fun.
As someone that played Tears first, it’s definitely hard to get into BoTW now lol. Tears just improves everything on an already nearly perfect game.
The last boss was a little disappointing. Too easy for a powered-up Link!
For BotW I took the overwhelmed-ness as a sign that the game might wear out its welcome, and did a sub-40 hour completion (one pro controller charge!), getting just enough hearts to get the Master Sword.
