  • Camel is an incensey animalic. It’s going for something more Silk Road than metaphysical shop. Probably the first full bottle I’ll get from Zoologist.
  • A truly beautiful take on an oriental fragrance. ... This smells like what I’d imagine a desert market to smell like. Dried fruits, spices, resins and flowers in wooden boxes baking in the sun.

Cons

  • i would give it 6/10 as well. It told me a very wild story and was fun to play with but it is not wearable for me.
  • CAMEL – Barnyard, reminds me of super duper animatic perfumes from past. Bal a Versailles, is that you? I like that they give nod to perfume history though. 7.0

  • Quite a forgettable oriental scent to me. Probably doesn’t help that this doesn’t work well on my skin. I mainly get amber and incense and probably wouldn’t recognise it if I smelled it again.

Camel - This has a very incense like scent, with lots of spice. I can easily pick up on notes of frankincense, cedarwood, cinnamon, and sandalwood. There’s an overarching sweet floweriness to it which works really well with everything else. As it dries you can start to notice the vanilla coming out. It’s really a nice, sophisticated unisex perfume. 7/10

I did struggle to make sense of this one as I felt a lot was flying at me all at once, it smells of my local health food store, so many scents battling each other. It is subtle and wearable but I wouldn’t purchase a bottle and it was the least interesting scent to me so far.

What an absolutely beautiful scent! This is what I imagine Lawrence of Arabia would smell like. It's very sultry and sexy, comforting, yet exotic and lush. You're immediately hit with the scent of cedar and fruit, but the dry down is incredible. I'd give this a 10 out of 10, but it sadly doesn't last very long on my skin.
