Pros
- I bought a Zinus for my guest room years ago and it’s great! Even my elderly parents like it when they visit. Get the 12inch one, it’s worth the small up charge over the thinner models.
- The average person goes on Amazon and buys a zinus for $200-400 bucks.
- I've had a zinus for at least 6 years. I've never had a problem with it.
- I had a Zinus I paid maybe $300 for. Lasted me a decade including two moves. Ever so much as creaked. ... But that Zinus never let me down. 10/10 would recommend. Excellent quality and excellent price.
- Zinus. Not the fanciest. But comfortable and lasting for us so far in two bedrooms and also camper.
Cons
- Its not like Zinus where glass fibers are dislodging and poking through the cover just from years of friction.
- currently have a zinus and loved it until it got divots and learned about fiberglass
- I looked at zinus but it has very mixed opinions.
- The Zinus product is slickly designed and seriously underbuilt. There are a lot of platform frames to choose from but between the two I would always prefer the KD.
- So glad I didn’t get Zinus. My last one in undergrad was sinking so bad

I've had 5lb foam sag on me just the same as cheap Zinus shit, just lasted slightly longer.
Don’t buy gimmick, cheap, or marketing brands (Zinus, Dreamcloud, Nectar, Puffy) or overpriced mainstream brands (Beautyrest, Serta, to a lesser degree TempurPedic) and you’ll probably be fine.
I can vouch the zinus seems ok at first but terrible later on. I’ve had mine like 6 years and it feels hard as a rock. Hurts my back so bad that I’ve been sleeping on the sofa for the last 2-3 years.
