That's Matter, it's nothing to do with the protocol, it's Yales clueless software devs. Poor API integration is very common. I'm looking at you Sungrow ! Reply: Then Yale should not be allowed to call their products Matter, then. Seems like an easy solution to fix by the CSA.

I had a similar problem with my older Yale. Apparently you need to factory reset them for them to be used to detect the bolt max travel length or something. It was a PITA but mine finally fixed.
