Pros

  • XPENG was the best selling Chinese car brand here in Denmark for a while. I think their aesthetics speak to us.
  • XPeng sold 8,338 units, achieving the highest sales among Chinese luxury brands in Europe.
  • You also have really great ones like Nio, zeekr, xiaomi and xpeng who are innovating so much.
  • Yes, Xpeng is doing some cool stuff. I wish them all the best, because competition is good for everyone.
  • If you want chinese id stick to BYD, Xiaomi or XPeng. Those are known to be reliable in China.

Cons

  • I do wish they come up with more original ideas and abstain from shenanigans like the source code fiasco.
  • Parent context: Xpeng is now suffering from its poor build quality on Mona 3 and P7. Reply: Xpeng is now suffering from its poor build quality on Mona 3 and P7.
  • xpeng does a range and evrn flying cars but generally their products are more premium

I had expected Xpeng or Zeekr to do it but they are more premium(Though Xpeng has the Mona brand).

Most exciting startup for sure. Good balance between price and innovation, global expansion also on track in 2026. Definitely will be one of the survivors when the price war is settled.

XPeng's BEVs on the other hand have some of the best efficiencies in the business. Their upcoming EREVs will deal a further blow to Li Auto as they come with much larger battery capacities than Li Auto's.
