I currently have Xfinity (hate it)... I have had billing issues with them and was being charged for data overages when I had added the unlimited data nearly a year prior, and it was removed. It was a lot of back and forth despite me having the literal proof. There are also a lot of outages in my area compared to past homes I have had them in.
After switching from Xfinity to fiber internet I don't think we've had one outage. Xfinity went out all the time. The speeds are higher, especially upload speeds. I haven't had to reset the modem a single time unlike Xfinity.
Xfinity does not work without power. They have little boxes in your neighborhood that are have battery back-up - once the battery back-up goes, so will your Xfinity.
