Volvo EX30

Pros

• I own one and absolutely love it. while it’s definitely on a smaller size, if you need small car - it’s fine. But you must be aware of what you are getting.
• The EX30 is also selling well because Volvo has a long established history and solid customer base.
• Once you get used to the single screen, it's a good car. I've had mine a week and while it still has some quirks it's solid. Volvo shipped 100,000 of them in it's first year which isn't bad for a premium EV B/C segment hatch.
• My EX30 behaves completely differently. Its Google Maps EV routing usually predicts the arrival battery percentage more accurately than the car’s own range number. It reacts to cold weather, elevation, wind, HVAC use, and driving speed....
• The EX30 is literally on sale right now. I can drive to my local Volvo dealer 90 minutes away and drive off the lot with one.

Cons

• the Zeekr X’s safety performance put it ahead of rivals like the Deepal S07, the Porsche Macan EV, the Cupra Tavascan, the MG HS, the Toyota C-HR, the Volvo EX30, and the Xpeng G6.
• Real actual problem with a car is a price. It lures you in with (relatively) small starting price, but its “core” model is barely usable. Like the only way to open car and use it - by using NFC card (or nfc on a phone in a future).
• Parent context: Volvo EX30 costs 33 900. ID.4 costs 36 000. Guess which one am I going to pick? Reply: At this point they are both pretty crap.
• Parent context: While mine loves to die a lot (3 dealer trips in 6 months), it's a great little hatchback, after driving Volvo's other crossovers and SUVs, the EX30 is 100% a hatchback not a crossover. it's too short a range for most who...
