Trek Madone

Pros

• Get a Madone (or, my recommendation is to get a Specialized Tarmac, but to each their own) and set it up longer and lower than your Domane.
• I could get a race bike like a madone...but I dont even have the Domane stem slammed all the way down, not sure a race bike with spacers would be an improvement.
• He finally got a Madone with 105 Di2 and some nice wheels. His first ride out? PR, PR, PR, PR, PR, PR, PR, PR, PR...
• Parent context: Well I certainly loved the Gen MADONE it would run me about 2500 more than this Émonda which has everything I’m looking for Reply: Personally I’d just get the Emonda. Madone is not offering much above it, and certainly no...
• I have a Madone. I love it. It handles well, feels snappy etc. I got a good fit and I find it very comfortable on long rides.

Cons

• Trek has a good crash/warranty replacement policy, so you'd be getting a new Madone frame as the Emondas are not made anymore.
• Or is that not really a lot of climbing and it would be better to go with the a Madone assuming it’s going to be an older gen 6 to keep the price around 3K.
• The Madone doesn’t have nearly enough tire clearance
• The Madone won’t have much tire clearance, I’ll have to look into that spec
• hence my choice of Domane rather than Madone.
