Trek Domane

Pros

• I like my trek domane- got it used for like $700 usd
• The Domane is a superb endurance bike, and despite its limited tyre width options (it goes up to 38mm without fenders, while the Checkpoint supports up to 45mm) it’s my go-to bike (I have the ’24 SL7) for almost every ride.
• Domane without question.
• About a year ago I bought my first bike, a Trek Domane. I wasn't sure what I really wanted and chose it for its supposed versatility.
• Domane is a good bike.

Cons

• The domane and checkpoint are both available in carbon and aluminum, but the alloys are not equal. ... However the domane has less tire clearance and comes with road gearing where the checkpoint has more tire clearance and lower gearing.
• and a Domane+ that I use on other rides.
• The Domane’s nice but pricey for marginal gains.
• Now 1000 miles later my Domane is clickin like chickety china the chinese chicken. Click click click all the way along the road. It's a gimmick, I feel the Isospeed but its not some cushiony soft wonderthing. It maybe takes the tiny edge...
