TP-Link

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.
Pros
- Unlike 10G or 100G, gigabit switch is kinda pedestrian. So my selection will be based on cost…. drum roll pls ….. TP-link!!!
- You can get any cheap smart switch from TP-Link or Netgear or Zyxel to play around with.
- TP link for plugs or power bars, they have some good local control for working without WiFi.
- when I can get products from brands like Tp-Link that perform better for cheaper.
- Most consumer grade stuff (Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Netgear etc.) is pretty open and widely compatible with generic transceivers.
Cons
- You need a model that can connect to the LAN using Ethernet, I’ve seen random TP-link documentation that doesn’t mention the possibility.
- TP-link is the best bang for the buck, however they are currently being investigated for China hacking through their devices. I am avoiding them, myself.
- Of course, the correct fix is to not use TP-Link LOL
- TP-Link: The prices are nice but the whole "might be banned in the USA" thing really throws a wrench in things.
- Tp link, treatlife, and some other cheaper companies are all known to fail like this at around the 2 year mark. It's like the switch can be turned on and off around 1000 times and then they kaput 😂

This switch won’t stop turning off and on. It’s a TP Link.
but TP Link isnt very clear on the differences in CPU here.
