I would suggest thorogood. 🧐 if quality is what you’re after.

Parent context: He just told me that the old ones are thoroughgoods and that hes had them for 7 years. maybe we will be repurchasing. Reply: 7 years is really good for a pair of construction boots. Many of the guys I work with replace theirs annually.

Thorogood is what I wear, get the made in USA ones.

Thorogood is the only brand of boots I will wear for work. They do have boots made in the usa and cheaper boots made overseas, I only purchase the us made ones, the overseas made boots don't seem to hold up as well.

Second Thorogood! Wore them everyday for 13 years, re-soled twice. Best steel toes I’ve ever had. I use the past tense because I’m not on the shop floor anymore, and don’t wear them every day. But they are still amazing. Truly BIFL.

My favorite shop boots ever. They don't have an aggressive tread so they're not great for climbing etc, but all day on a concrete floor there is nothing i've found to be better.

My everyday “beater” boot (not kept super clean) are my Thorogoods. They’re more comfortable than my sneakers

So far 3 years into the abuse and the better part of 1000 miles later, they’re still fairly comfortable and hold together well. I wouldn’t consider the Thorogoods BIFL, but I think the value proposition is there.

Thorogood is the best quality/value ratio out there for under $300.
